COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is essentially a preparation programme for passing mid-year and year-end exam papers for learners in Grades 10, 11 and 12.

The 'QuickFix English’ programme, in alignment with the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) and the Independent Examination Board (IEB), provides learners with a comprehensive view of Exam Papers 1, 2 and 3 (Papers 1 and 2 – IEB), and equips them with the expertise and experience to competently and confidently succeed in their answers – question by question.

By reconstructing the foundation of proper English, and by clarifying and consolidating grammar principles, learners gain a passion for the Language, leading to vocabulary expansion and a re-ignition of creativity.

This is a course that not only assists students in passing exams, but prepares them for the adult world of communication in English.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Learners who struggle with English and feel inadequately equipped to pass their mid-year/year-end exam (min. 40%), especially Matrics who would like to receive the required mark of 50% for a matric exemption in the forthcoming Matric National Senior Certificate (NSC) exam.

An expanded, more intensive course can be provided for post matric students opting for English NSC rewrites to improve marks for acceptance into university faculties or other tertiary institutions. *

This course would also benefit students in tertiary education, who feel insufficiently competent to articulate their thoughts in essays and assignments.

13 weeks x ONE 2-hour lessons per week
Saturdays: 09:00 – 11:00

*Intensive course: 13 weeks x TWO 2-hour lessons
Saturdays: 09:00 – 11:00 and ONE 2-hour lesson during week
